(WGEM) - A Tri-States man is following a historic path this summer and you can follow him through every step of the way.
Noel Oliver is retired and lives in Colchester, Illinois. He's off on the same trail that adventurers Lewis and Clark took from the Mississippi River to the point that the Columbia River empties into the Pacific Ocean. The trip is roughly 6,000 miles and includes at least 11 states.
"I will not be able to travel by boat up the river, or hike over the mountains, or even fight the grizzly bears, but I will be able to visit many of the same places they traveled and examine the monuments and museums along the way," Oliver says in his web site.
