Quincy Park District parks open for business this weekend

If you plan on biking or running this weekend, there's good news. All Quincy parks will be open this weekend for the first time this year.

The Quincy parks usually open April 1. But because of the late winter storms, the Quincy Park District had to postpone opening day.

Don Hilgenbrink, Director of Business Services, says maintenance crews have spend the last few days getting the restrooms ready for the busy spring season.

The popular batting cage facility in Upper Moorman Park will open for business next Friday.

"The batting cages will be open. And the golf put-put course will be open and with a new, fresh look with new carpet," Hilgenbrink said.

Crews have already started looking over all the playground equipment making sure it is safe for kids play on.
