Monroe City man sentenced to 8 years in prison for stealing farm equipment

LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) -

A Northeast Missouri man is sentenced to eight years in prison for stealing $39,000 worth of farm equipment.

Ryan Gooding, 42, of Monroe City, pleaded guilty to theft.

He was one of three people arrested for stealing stainless steel from a swine production facility north of Monticello.

Authorities were able to recover some of the stolen items, but the rest was sold for scrap.

The two other suspects, Joseph Worrell and Ida Worrell both face trials next month.
