The Quincy city council received some special visitors in the chambers.
Monday night Mayor John Spring introduced over a dozen students visiting from Herford, Germany.
It's part of the city's Sister City program.
This is the forth time a delegation of German students have visited with students from Quincy Notre Dame, and vice versa.
Commission members say it speaks to the rich link between the two cities.
"Every time we go over there or they come over here, we're put together with relatives again. Long lost relatives. And we've established a lot of family relationships again that may have died off or fallen apart. A lot of things have happened in 180 years," said Mecki Kosin.
In other council news, aldermen approved the purchase of two water distribution vehicles, and tabled a motion to hire an ad agency for the safe routes to school campaign.
