Parents and Students learn how to go to college debt free

It's a dream many parents and students want and that's to get out of college debt free.

Monday night, Financial Coach Mike Young held a class for parents and students who were looking to do just that. The five week course covers numerous topics like how to save money in college and where to find scholarships.  Young said the reason people don't know about this is because they think getting out of college without debt isn't something they can control.

"It's just what you do. To go to school you have to have student loan debt, so I think it becomes so cultural and such a norm that it's just never questioned or thought through much," he said.

Young says he's worked with people who still have student loan debt when they're more than 10 years out of college.  For more information on the course, you can click on the link
