PITTSFIELD, Ill. (WGEM) -- Shea O'Brien epitomized toughness this past season.
In late December, the Pittsfield star had her appendix removed and less than a day later O'Brien was back with her team cheering them on at the Lady Tiger Classic in Beardstown.
A little more than two weeks later, she returned to the game floor.
O'Brien averaged nearly 20 points and three and a half steals a game this past season.
She also made 52 three pointers and was an 82 percent free throw shooter en route to being named 3rd Team All-State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association.
