The Great River Honor Flight celebrates a historic milestone as 33 veterans from World War II and the Korean War take part in the 17th mission of the Great River Honor Flight.
Thursday's flight to take veterans to see their memorials in Washington, D.C. will include the 500th veteran to take part in a Great River Honor Flight trip.
The veterans checked in at 1 a.m. for the all day adventure, flying from St. Louis to Baltimore before traveling by bus to Washington, D.C. The veterans will tour our nation's capital before flying back home for a homecoming ceremony.
You are invited to help welcome our veterans home at the always popular homecoming ceremony, scheduled for 10:30 p.m. at John Wood Community College in Quincy.
