Jackpot! Winning $100,000 lotto ticket sold at Quincy store

A winning $100,000 Lucky Day Lotto ticket was sold in Quincy.

The Illinois Lottery says the winner of the April 12 Lucky Day Lotto drawing, bought the ticket at County Market Express 301 Riverview Avenue and matched all five numbers: 08-16-17-22-26.

Store managers say the winner wishes to remain anonymous but, it's someone who has played the lotto for more than 20 years and someone who they think deserves the win.

"It's pretty awesome. I've worked here 18 years and never had a big winner like that. It's just still shocking. I think everyone's still trying to absorb it," said Brenda Cannady, store manager.

The store will get a $1,000 bonus, or one percent of the jackpot amount, for selling the winner ticket.
