A Central Junior High student has confessed to writing a threatening note on a bathroom wall.
Superintendent Marty Cook says the matter has been referred to the State's Attorney's Office and will also be addressed by the school board.
Cook says the threatening note was found Tuesday in the girls bathroom in the 7th/8th grade wing of the Junior High.
Cook says law enforcement was immediately notified and swept the building Tuesday evening and gave it the all clear. A special unit from the Secretary of State Police squad came in overnight to sweep the building again to be on the safe side.
All junior high, including 5th and 6th, and high school students went through security lines and bag checks when they arrived at school Wednesday morning.
