Hannibal City Council upgrading audio and visual equipment

The Hannibal City Council will see a major upgrade on its audio and visual equipment in the next few weeks.  The last time the city council upgraded its equipment was in the 1980s.  Some of the changes will include monitors on two sides of the chambers as well as updating its sound qualities.  City Clerk Angelica Vance pushed for the improvements and said this has been in the works for years.

"The city manager and I have worked and we've put it in the five year capital plan, but we just decided that it's time to bump it up and proceed with it this fiscal year," she said.

The total cost of the upgrades is around $36,000.
