McDonough District Hospital closes health services building after flooding in basement
MACOMB, Ill. (WGEM) -
McDonough District Hospital had to close one of its buildings Thursday due to a flooded basement.
McDonough District Hospital Director of Public Relations John Maguire said that Health Service Building #2 had to be closed Thursday after over a foot of water made its way into the building's basement.
"It's primarily a medical office building," Maguire said. "We did have some patients that had to cancel patients. There's a business office in the lowest level. That's where most of the damage was."
Maguire said the hospital's main building remains operational. He says the boiler room did receive some water, but was able to be pumped out before it became an issue.
