2nd person arrested for armed robbery of the Chelsea Adult Store


(WGEM) -- A second person has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery at the Chelsea Adult Store in early March.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old James Meredith of Ewing, Missouri faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated robbery.

Meredith is currently lodged in the Maryville, Missouri jail awaiting extradition to Illinois.

Last month, 20-year-old Adam Morrall, of Hannibal, was arrested after a joint investigation between his department and the Quincy Police Department.

Officers responded to the Chelsea Adult Store at 4804 Gardner Expressway on March 4 following a call of two masked people with a weapon reportedly robbing the business.
