A search of a Quincy home led to the arrest of a juvenile on drug charges.

The West Central Illinois Task Force and Adams County Sheriffs Office served a search warrant near 24th and Jersey at an unidentified juvenile's residence.

Seized during the search was a quarter pound of cannabis and a firearm.

The juvenile was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis, 30-500 grams and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The juvenile was placed in the Adams County Youth Home.

Authorities say information gathered from evidence at the first search led to a second search warrant at 611 Country Club Heights, apartment #233.

Seized during the second search was prescription drugs, and a pound and a half of cannabis.

Wayne A. Hughes, 51, was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis, 500 or more grams, and unlawful delivery of cannabis.
