Quincy IDOT facility to get $331,000 upgrade

An aging transportation facility in Quincy is getting a major upgrade.

The IDOT maintenance building near 40th and Broadway will soon undergo a $331,000 project to update and expand the facility.

The project is part of Gov. Quinn's Illinois Jobs Now program to spur construction.

The Quincy facility is used for testing concrete, asphalt, gravel and other road construction materials.
