Rainy weather has led to a lot of roof repairs

The rainy weather over the past couple weeks has led to a lot of leaky roofs.

The owner of Full Service Roofing and Remodeling in Quincy says you could have hail and wind damage and not even know it. Then when you combine high winds and heavy rain leaks can pop up that generally won't happen with a lighter rain.

Now repairmen's work schedules are growing by the day.

"Since the big rain we had Thursday we've had over 48 calls. And that's due to the extreme about of wind driven rain. Generally this time of year, it's about half of that," said Jonathan Schemerhorn, the owner of Full Service Roofing & Remodeling.

Schemerhorn also says they do emergency repairs, but due to a high volume of calls it will be two or three days before estimates can be completed.
