Five of Quincy High's top senior soccer players made their college pledges on Thursday official.
QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- The Quincy High soccer program held its annual signing day on Thursday afternoon as five Blue Devils made their future intentions known.
Most notably, Blake Herman and Bronson Melvin inked their national letters of intent with Missouri-St. Louis.
Both say the chance to team up at the college level was too hard to pass up.
"It's nice to have somebody there that I've played with for I don't even know how long, just to have him there that will allow me to have that connection is going to be nice," Herman said.
According to Melvin, "There's not really words (to describe Herman). He's got his good and his bad. He can be one absolutely crazy kid at one moment and then he can be really serious. He's a great friend and he's always been there for me, and it's going to be great to play with him for another four years."
Also signing on Thursday- Jason Ebbing, Brett Stiles, and Zach Merzouk - all three are heading to East Central Community College.
