Quincy Mayor-Elect Moore announces recommendations for legal team, Director of Admin Services positions

Quincy Mayor-Elect Kyle Moore announced recommendations for the formation of his legal team and Director of Administrative Services on Thursday.

Moore announced the following positions for recommendation by the city council:

  • Lonnie Dunn, Corporation Counsel
  • Bruce Alford, Assistant Corporation Counsel
  • Ryan Schnack, City Attorney
  • Paul Havermale, Director of Administrative Services and Purchasing Director

All four individuals are on the agenda for approval during the May 6 meeting.

Havermale is a current alderman and will resign from his seat if approved, Moore said.

Alford is a former City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney.

Dunn has over 20 years of experience practicing law and Schnack has experience in various city matters and has represented clients in front of the City Planning Commission and City Council.

"We are going to appoint an interim city engineer which is Marty Wagner, and an interim city comptroller who is Sherri Ray. We're going to be looking for people and candidates to fill those positions, maybe hire from inside," said Moore.
