A Hannibal man is behind bars in Quincy and charged with multiple sexual assaults in the last year.
Joseph Shuck has been arrested, after Quincy Police say they received a report of an alleged sexual assault Friday in a parking lot of 520 North 24th Street inside of a vehicle.
Through the investigation, officers say they discovered the victim had been taken to a home on county road 426 in Hannibal, where they say - the assault continued.
Officers say through joint work of QPD and the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Shuck was also developed as a suspect in another sexual assault back in October, that also started in Quincy and ended at the same Hannibal location.
Lt. Dina Dreyer with the Quincy Police Department says this arrest is a relief.
"They're usually very traumatic and they make the community a little uneasy about somebody being at large for a crime like these, so it was very good that we were able to identify him so quickly and arrest him so quickly," she said.
Shuck has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
