Motorcycle accident sends Quincy man to hospital

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

A motorcycle accident Sunday night sends one Quincy man to the hospital.

According to the Illinois State Police, the crash happened at North 5th Street and US 24 just after 9:30 Sunday.

Dakota Clary of Quincy told officers he was heading west on 24 on his motorcycle when the driver of the of an SUV didn't yield at the stop sign causing Clary to slide into the vehicle. 

Police found Jonathan Matuszak a short time later after he fled the scene. He was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Yield Stop Sign, and Failure to Render Aid.

Clary was treated for minor injuries at Blessing Hospital.
