KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) -

Everyone wants to know how they can land the next promotion at work...

Friday, some tri-state professionals learned those skills from the nation's brightest minds.

Nearly 100 people from around the area attended the Chic-Fil-A LeaderCast Friday in Keokuk.

They listened to broadcast seminars from well-known leaders like former Secretary of State Condolezza Rice and Duke Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Attendees say they hope to take this knowledge back to their workplace.

"You really need to think about being the most effective in communication and the skills that you show as far as leadership is very important because you want your people excel with you," said Lisa Latham.

The seminar was viewed by over 100,000 people in 700 locations nationwide.
