Animal calling contest a favorite at Golden Age Games

Posted:

More than 150 local senior citizens went head to head Friday in the 15th Annual Golden Age Games.

Fifteen nursing homes competed in Friday's contests at Hannibal-LaGrange University. The games included a cow milking competition and an animal calling contest.

Organizers say the event is an opportunity for seniors to get out and have some fun.

"They love it. They just look forward to getting out of the home and some are very competitive, as you can hear the animal calling contest behind me," said Libby Youse, District President with Missouri HealthCare. "They just love it."
