KAHOKA, Mo. (WGEM) -- The time is now to move forward for the Clark County football program.
With former head coach Quentin Hamner's move to Park Hill to become defensive coordinator, one of his assistants is now the man in charge in Kahoka.
Scott Murdock has been named the Indians head coach after spending the last two seasons as offensive coordinator.
The Culver-Stockton grad started his coaching career as an assistant under Kevin Miles at Mark Twain.
Clark County also named long time Holy Trinity head coach Monte Hellenthal as its new softball coach.
Hellenthal spent the last 14 years with the Lady Crusaders.
And, veteran leader Jerry Jerome will be the Indians baseball coach in the team's inaugural season next spring.
Jerome, who will remain as the head coach of the Southeastern Community College women's basketball team, previously spent 15 seasons as a high school baseball coach at Fort Madison and Warsaw.
He's also had an assistant role at Western Illinois University for two years.
