UPDATED: Police Investigating Alleged Motorcycle Crash

URSA, Ill. (WGEM) -

An update to a story we first told you about Saturday on WGEM News at Ten - deputies with the Adams County Sheriff's Office are releasing new information about the man they found lying in a field near Ursa after a motorcycle crash Saturday.

The rider has been identified as John Cosgrove.

Deputies say they believe that Cosgrove did not stop at a stop sign on County Road 500 - at the intersection of North 2150 Avenue.

They say he was then thrown from the bike.

He was taken to Blessing Hospital with what officers described as a head injury - and deputies report that when they arrived there to speak with Cosgrove, he was unable to tell them what had led to the accident.
