QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

The trial of a man accused of robbing banks across the Midwest, including one in Quincy, has been delayed.

Willie Franklin, 37, of Urbana, was supposed to face a trial Monday but a hearing has been postponed until July 1.

Franklin pleaded not guilty to four federal charges, including robbery of the First Mid-Illinois Bank and Trust in Quincy on Dec. 26.

He also allegedly admitted to robbing banks in Missouri, Iowa and Indiana.

Franklin was arrested by FBI agents near Tampa, Florida in January.
