Quincy woman injured in rollover accident at 28th & College

Authorities say a Quincy woman was taken to Blessing Hospital Wednesday afternoon after her SUV collided with another car.

According to a Quincy police officer on the scene, a car driven by 19-year-old Ashley Brumbaugh was traveling east on College Avenue just after noon when she ran the stop sign at 28th Street. An SUV was traveling north at that time and collided with the car. The SUV rolled onto its side and after sliding approximately 30 feet, the vehicle rolled back upright.

The driver of the SUV was ejected out of the vehicle through the sunroof. A three-year-old child in the SUV was secured in a car seat and was not injured.

Brumbaugh was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device.
