New Feature on the Quincy City Website

Posted:
QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

There's a new feature on the city of Quincy's website.

You can now watch city council meetings online.

It isn't a live stream, but the video is posted the next day.

Mayor Kyle Moore says residents used to have to go to the city IT department and request a copy of a certain meeting, for a five dollar fee.

He says - this way - people can get more involved in city government. "I think the goal of this is to make city government more user friendly for people, no matter how you watch city council meetings or want to get plugged in you can, whether that be Internet, in person, or on your TV," he says.

Moore says he would also like to see a "City of Quincy" Facebook page and Twitter account in the future.
