Hotels seeing business due to Hannibal storm

The storm situation in Hannibal has impacted some local Quincy businesses.

Deb Carstens at the Fairfield Inn says they've seen some last minute check-ins, namely insurance adjusters here to assist Hannibal's residents. They also seen some other business travelers who had intended to stay at a hotel in Hannibal, but due to the power outage needed another place to stay.

She says she anticipates they will be even busier this weekend. "Right now we have rooms available for this evening, but of course we're coming into the weekend where you have Macker going on, so people who want to stay - the claims adjusters and people like that who want to stay for like two weeks or so  - they're hitting a very busy time," she says.

She says some of the more seasoned travelers thought ahead to make reservations, instead of just showing up.
