Employees at Ursa Farmers Co-Op started their flood preparations Thursday morning.
Sand barriers around the grain elevators have been up since April, but after looking at the projected forecast, supervisors say they decided to fill the barriers with more sand.
"We're pretty well keeping everything the same. We're just going by ear," said Supervisor Tom Davis. "We might put another row on top of these (sand barriers) if water gets necessary that we'd have to do that."
Depending on river predictions, Davis says the co-op may have to look at bringing in additional help later this week.
