Rising River impacting Hannibal businesses

The rising Mississippi is affecting businesses in Hannibal right in the middle of tourism season.

Employees at Sawyer's Creek say it will only close if the water gets above the entrance.  Manager Jeanne Youngwirth said because the entrance to the family fun park was raised by four inches, the flood isn't impacting them as much as it normally would.  However, Youngwirth said this has been a tough Spring.

"Well the biggest challenge we've had this year as you can see all around us right now is the rain. And we have had so much of it this year. You know it's one of those you never like because it never helps business, I don't think it helps any business," Youngwirth said.

If the river gets higher than 24 feet, Sawyer's Creek will close.
