QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Former QND standout Tori Kuhn is back in Quincy and preparing to get healthy for her sophomore year and first season as a member of the Quincy University basketball team.

Kuhn has already left her mark on basketball in the city of Quincy as an integral part of back to back state titles at Quincy Notre Dame.

Following a year at Lindenwood she's back at home with the Lady Hawks.

"Quincy University has kind of always been home to me," Kuhn told WGEM Sports.

"I grew up going to the camps and hanging out with the girls. I've just always felt really comfortable here and Quincy is home to me and where I want to be."

Dating back to her early recruitment Kuhn says that QU head coach Jeni Garber left a strong impression from the beginning.

"The fact that we had a relationship before any of this, even before I knew I was going to come back home kind of helped," Kuhn expressed.

"I think she's a good coach, and we're hopefully going to do wonderful things with this program."

With every key piece back on campus from the Lady Hawks 14-win campaign a year ago, Kuhn hopes that she will be able to contribute right away.

"I'm not really sure what my role is going to be yet, but whatever it is I'll do my best, and do whatever I can to help this team."
