Northeast Missouri farmers could qualify for disaster assistance


(WGEM) -- Farmers in Northeast Missouri hit hard by spring flooding may be eligible for federal aid.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated Clark, Marion, Pike, Ralls, and Scotland Counties as natural disasters.

Farmers who suffered losses to crops or livestock from April 16 to May 5 qualify for low interest loans and other federal assistance.
