MoDOT close to repairing all road signs damaged by storm

MARION COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) -

MoDOT said they're almost done repairing all the signs damaged in the major storm last month.  You can still see the damage caused by the storm as this sign was blown over by the heavy winds. While crews can work on four or five small signs a day, bigger signs can take a whole day to replace.  MoDOT officials said crews have been working around the clock to put up storms but the Spring weather isn't doing them any favors.

"The weather like you said there before. Trying to work in between the rain showers and lightening storms and the wind. You know when you go to put one of these big signs up, you can't do it on a real windy day and it's been pretty windy," said Maintenance Supervisor Kirk Youngblood.

Youngblood said he hopes to have all road signs up later this week.
