CANTON, Mo. (WGEM) -
A seamless college transfer and a chance to work close to home. Two incentives behind a new partnership between two local schools. Culver-Stockton College and John Wood Community College recently signed a two plus two education agreement. This will allow education majors to take classes at John Wood and then transfer to Culver without any problems which will keep them on track to graduate in four years.
"It really guarantees that they're going to have a seamless process and it's almost like it's a 4 year guarantee for them. Where they're going to start at John Wood with their two years and then know that they can come here and get finished in two years," said C-SC Transfer coordinator Billy Schaffer.
Schaffer says Culver graduates enjoy the benefits of getting a teaching certificate in Missouri, which opens them up to jobs in dozens of states. You can hear more from Schaffer about this program coming up this weekend on WGEM News this Week.
