Quincy police investigating group armed robbery

Quincy police are investigating a reported armed robbery.

Just before midnight, officers were called to the 1000 block of Jersey.

Three male victims, between 17 and 18-years-old, told police they had just been robbed at gunpoint.

The victims say five to six black males and three black females approached them, one showed a handgun and ordered them to the ground.

One victim says he had items taken from him and the suspects then fled on foot.

Police say some of the items taken and a handgun were found nearby.

"I don't think that the public needs to be worried that there is a group of people robbing people at random. We've go an investigator that's going to be doing re-interviews on it. But right now we don't have any further leads on it than what we had last night," said Sgt. John Summers.

None of the victims were injured.
