A Monroe City man has been charged in connection with the armed robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon in Hannibal.
Jamie L. Walker, 27, of Monroe City, was charged Sunday with first degree robbery. Walker's bond is set at $100,000 and is currently being held at the Marion County Jail. He was also arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Hannibal residents Misty Evette Williams, 36, and Scott Colbert, 42, were both also arrested in connection with the incident and charged with interfering with the investigation.
Officers say the armed robbery occurred at the Pic-A-Dilly Quik Stop on Market Street at 3:43 p.m. A caller reported that a black male came into the store and demanded money, and then ran away. Witnesses also reported to police that the suspect displayed a handgun, and then ran off with an un-disclosed amount of cash. The suspect escaped with an un-disclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured during the incident however, an employee at the business was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance afterwards for stress related medical issues.
