It was firefighters versus police officers at Monday's 3rd Annual "Battle of the Badge" blood drive.
Dozens of area men and women with the Quincy Fire Department and police department rolled up their sleeves for the American Red Cross.
Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning says giving blood is an important way for them to give back because as emergency responders, they know all too well the effects of accidents.
"There's always a need for donors and there's always a need for blood and especially this time of year with vacations and people traveling," said Chief Henning. "There seems to be an increased incidents in traumatic accidents so we need blood for that purpose."
The goal today was to reach 37 units of blood.
