In-Ground sensors to be installed by MoDOT

MoDOT crews will begin installing in-road sensors on US 61 at MO 16 near Canton on Tuesday, June 25th, through Wednesday, June 26th, weather permitting. Traffic will be down to one lane from 8 AM to 4 PM both days.

The sensors are in-ground devices commonly used for long-term traffic counting, vehicle classification by axle count and spacing, planning and research studies. Once the sensors are in place, crews will repair the pavement.
