Macomb man ordered to pay restitution for police response to hoax 911 call

A Macomb man has been ordered to pay more than $12,000 in restitution for the police response to a hoax 911 call.

According to the McDonough County Circuit Clerk's Office, 25-year-old Alvin Montgomery plead guilty to disorderly conduct and was also sentenced to two years conditional discharge.

This stems back to a 9-1-1 call in March that claimed there was a man with a gun in the 500 block of West Murray.

Police surrounded a home, but a five hour search and several evacuations, no armed man was ever found.
