Unique local tractors up for auction


A rare collection of tractors is now getting worldwide attention as they're set to be auctioned off this weekend in Milton, Illinois.

More than 100 tractors and 40 to 50 gas engines are already out on display along the town's square. The collection belonging to Milton Resident Jim Sanderson who bought them over the course of his lifetime.

Now, his rare gems ranging from steel wheel to rubber tire tractors are up on the auction block.

"He's even got a tractor made in Quincy which was the Allwork Tractor made by Electric Wheel Company," said Aumann Auctions CEO Kurt Aumann. "Some are restored some are un-restored but, he did a great job in preserving a lot of them."

Aumann says online bidding is already gaining buzz with people as far away as Austria and Germany.
