A local rodeo turned fun into fundraising this spring, roping in $25,000 for a great cause.
Organizers of the Chase Anderson Memorial Rodeo donated the big check to the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Thursday.
Hundreds of people came to the rodeo in March at the Rockin' A Arena in Palmyra, held in honor of the boy who lost his battle with the disease two years ago.
Chase's father, Joel, says the money will stay local and help families send their kids to MDA summer camp.
"He had a great time there, it was one on one. They have counselors there that do an excellent job, they get involved in those kids lives and stay in touch with a lot of them," said Joel Anderson.
The money will also go towards covering the costs of clincal visits and support groups.
