The group hoping to build a skate park in Quincy is taking its next step in fundraising for the project.
The Adams County Skate Park group has launched its "Buy a Brick, Build a Park" program.
For $300 you can purchase an 8X8 inch brick that you can have inscribed, or a smaller 4X4 inch brick for $100.
Officials with the group say they are eager get a skate park built with this money in order to give skaters in the area a safe place to skate.
"They are in front of cars, it's just been a nightmare, and with summer being here they are just all over, and it's just a matter of them staying out of the way of cars," said Petra St. Hill, president of Adams County Skate.
So far the group has raised $20,000 for the project, they are hoping to raise $100,000 to build a new park.
