Illinois State Senator Bill Brady is hoping the third time's the charm as he launches another run at the governor's office.
The Republican from Bloomington ran for governor in 2010 and was narrowly beaten by Governor Quinn.
Now, he's formally announcing his candidacy with a statewide tour, one of those stops was in Quincy's Washington Park Friday afternoon.
"Our campaign is going to be about jobs, it's going to be about fiscal integrity and restoring Illinois to a position of greatness," said Brady.
Brady joins an already crowded 2014 Republican field. Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford , State Sen. Kirk Dillard and Chicago Businessman Bruce Rauner already announced bids in the March 8th primary.
