The route you take to work Tuesday morning could be under water as Missouri Department of Transportation crews are once again keeping a watchful eye on US 61 at Alexandria.
Marisa Ellison with MoDOT says she expects the highway will close Tuesday morning with water rising at about one-tenth of an inch at a time. Crews continue to monitor the road and will allow it to remain open to at least one lane as long as it is safe.
This would be the third time the highway will have been shut down this year.
