More sections of Hannibal's Riverview Park reopened

Another part of Hannibal's Riverview Park is back open, six weeks after the devastating windstorm.

Soap Hollow Trail is now accessible to the public, just in time for Tom Sawyer Days.

Park district officials say maintenance crews have been working on the park everyday, trying to clear all the debris. But officials say it's too soon to calculate how much the clean up will cost.

"Our guys have been working really hard, but it's just going to take time before we get all of it repaired and all the damage fixed. And it's just going to be on going so we don't know a cost yet," said Mary Lynne Richards, the Assistant Supervisor for the Hannibal Parks and Recreation.

River Road Trail is still not open due to a landslide that happened in the beginning of June. The park district is still evaluating the area to see when it could be cleared.
