Dozens turn out for Flower City Festival

The Flower City Park in Palmyra was full of families today as they celebrated the 4th of July and Family Day.

Those that came out enjoyed crafts, a watermelon seed spitting contest, a family triathlon and more.

One attendee says this was the first time his family had attended the event and says they will be sure to come back next year.

"Well we actually got permission to camp over night. So we started last night and then we woke up this morning and we did the, my daughter did the bicycle contest and the hula-hoop contest," said Keith Hurst.

There was also a tribute to all the veterans in attendance. And the night ended with a fireworks show.
