Fourth of July travelers head for home

After a fun weekend of celebrating our nation's founding, some locals headed back home Sunday.

According to AAA, over 42 million Americans traveled over the 4th of July holidays - which many considered to be Tuesday through Sunday.

And they say - it was set to be a good year. The number of travelers was projected to be higher than last year, while gas prices were about a dime and a nickel cheaper per gallon than last year.

Local travelers we spoke with say while they wish gas prices were lower, it didn't hinder them from their vacation plans.
