Construction work started Monday in Adams County, possibly changing your travel route.
The Adams County Highway Department started construction work Monday on North 2400th Avenue from the intersection of East 2600th Street and North 2400th Avenue on the east side of Golden.
The construction will extend just over 3 miles to the intersection of East 2903rd Lane and North 2400th Avenue, commonly known as Clayton-Augusta Road.
The project consists of the pulverization and stabilization of the existing road materials with emulsified asphalt, trimming and the application of a Class A-2 wearing surface.
The project is expected to be completed by July 25.
