Adams County children in need received a big boost Monday from the Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club.
The group held its annual Allocation Day ay the Quincy Holiday Inn and presented over $25,000 to numerous local organizations.
All of the organizations have one thing in common; they help to meet the needs of children in Quincy and Adams County.
"They actually submit grant applications to us," Becky Albert, Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club President, said. "They tell us what they're going to use the funds for and their need. We basically help the children of Adams County and so they've submitted some really good requests."
Funding for these grants comes from a variety of Kiwanis activities, including the annual Kiwanis auction.
