Even though school is out for summer, construction at Quincy Senior High is in full swing.
Workers were out Thursday, completing the second phase of what started last year in efforts to re-align the parking lot with 30th Street.
Quincy Public School Business Manager Joel Murphy says this is a summer project, with the goal being for it to be complete by the start of the school year.
"It's basically for our bus access to Baldwin, they line up for busses and they come through that area, and for people that access that lower parking lot it'd be more defined," said Murphy. "The parking lot would obviously be new and repaired so it won't have all the potholes and things that it had."
After this phase of construction is complete, the school board will then look at fixing several potholes in the main parking lot at the high school.
