Boil order in effect following Harrison Street water main break

Posted:
QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

City crews were forced to close a portion of Harrison Street Friday afternoon because of water main break in the area.

Central Services Director Marty Stegeman says the break is bad enough that crews closed the busy road from 18th-20th streets.

All water customers on Harrison between 18th-21st streets will also experience a loss of service while repairs are made. Once service is restored, there will be a 48-hour boil order in place.
